Internal Medicine Clerkship Resources

Internal medicine clerkships (usually in the third year of medical school) provide medical students with their first glimpse into a clinical setting. To get the most from this experience they need to be properly prepared. STAT!Ref features several resources aimed at increasing a student’s fundamental skills and becoming a valuable member of an interdisciplinary team. These resources include Internal Medicine Essentials for Clerkship Students from the American College of Physicians (ACP). This resource, which follows in the footsteps of ACP’s evidenced-based Physicians Information and Education Resource® (PIER), is written by 68 authors who designed the internal medicine curriculum and demonstrates how to prepare for clinical rounds and the end of rotation examination.
